One very indulgent day in southeastern Styria moved from tasting cocoa and countless chocolates at Zotter to fruit schnapps and vinegar at Gölles, then finished with a short farm tour and Vulcano ham.
A three-day loop through Upper Styria combined the icy Green Lake, a walk to Mirror Lake, a challenging Dachstein summit route and a final climb of Stoderzinken, with mountain huts and changing weather throughout.
We finally explored our own backyard on foot, following the Vitalwanderweg through vineyards and woodland, stopping at self service wine fridges and welcoming Buschenschanken for local food, cake and wide countryside views.
