Dort befindet sich eine der faszinierendsten arch\u00e4ologischen St\u00e4tten der Welt. Wir fuhren direkt zum Camping Zeus, wo wir f\u00fcr 5 N\u00e4chte einen Stellplatz gebucht hatten. Der Campingplatz liegt gleich neben dem Eingang zu den ber\u00fchmten Ruinen von Pompeji (Pompeii Scavi). Sobald unser Zelt stand, machten wir uns auf den Weg, um die Ruinen zu erkunden. Der sp\u00e4te Nachmittag war daf\u00fcr ideal: Es war k\u00fchler und weniger voll, sodass wir den Ort wirklich genie\u00dfen konnten. Kaum waren wir durch das Tor getreten, f\u00fchlten wir uns 2.000 Jahre in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Wir liefen durch die antiken Gassen, vorbei an der ehemaligen Kirche, dem Hauptplatz, H\u00e4usern, Villen und dem Amphitheater, bis wir schlie\u00dflich das Gymnasium erreichten. Von Pompeji hast Du einen guten Blick auf den Vesuv. Der Vulkan brach 79 n. Chr. aus und begrub die gesamte Stadt, nachdem sie nur 16 Jahre zuvor durch ein Erdbeben zerst\u00f6rt und wieder aufgebaut worden war. Der Anblick wirkt wirklich wie auf einer Postkarte.
